Most critical roles seem hardest to fill by HR
Companies identify critical roles as functions with the highest impact on business efficiency, followed by their direct and indirect financial contribution. This is one of the findings in Taleo research on critical talent pipelines in the UK. The top three of most critical roles for driving future growth aside from HR consist of finance and legal professionals (62%), customer service (58%), and technical / IT professionals (58%).
Amongst these critical roles HR decision makers rated Technical and IT professionals as the most difficult to fill (32%). Positions for Finance & Legal professionals are seen by 24 percent of the companies as hard to fill. In response to close the gaps, companies say better talent intelligence would be most beneficial to identify risk of loss for critical employees/positions and making individual talent profile reports.
