Site selection decisions: talent shortage remains key

Among the location choice criteria of multinational companies to make site selection decisions the availability of talent tops the list, according to a research of HR consultancy Mercer. With 95% labour availability was mentioned most frequently in location decision-making, more than cost reduction (82%). Moreover, the lack of available labour quality at home makes multinational companies decide to settle elsewhere in 59% of the cases. Even in these times of economic turmoil and high unemployment, companies still battle the shortage of and war for talent.
